Hello,
Has anyone ever seen this issue that I am currently experiencing with DOORs 9.3.0.4; Currently I am and a few other users(10 out of 200) are experiencing performance issues and they are as follows:
1) When attepmting to open a module it times out
2) Able to opem and module but not able to save the module (DOORS stops responding) user has full access
tempority work around deleting all temp file the restarting DOORS the issue is resolved but usaully return within a day or two after cleaning out the temp directories.
Has anyone ever seen this issue?
Thank you,
Jim

Performance issue is usually due to ping times between the client and the server, especially so when you say its specific to few users. Are the 10 of you accessing the server from a different location or via WAN or something? Note that the ping times should ideally be below 30 ms, between client and server.
If this is a recurring problem and ping times are fine, I suggest you raise this with IBM support and have it formally investigated.
cheers,
Sudarshan

As mentioned - ping time.
For example, if you have "very high" number of link modules used in conjunction with the module (e.g. you do not use linkSets but instead store every relation into a separate link module) - it could take such a long time for DOORS the time-out happens.

After talking to IBM these are known defects with DOORS and they are fixed in the newest version. I am upgrading later this week.
